700 Lumen Magnetic Headlamp & Work Light

It is three tools in one aluminum body about the size of your thumb. A 700-lumen headlamp on the included strap. A pocket flashlight when you pop the light off the strap and clip it on. And a magnetic work light when you stick it to anything steel.

The head sits at a 90° right angle, so the beam points where you are looking whether it is on your head, clipped to your cap brim, or stuck to the hood of your truck. Six modes — multiple white levels plus red steady, red strobe, and red SOS — all off one side button.

On your head. The headstrap and plastic head mount hold the light right where you are looking, so both hands stay free for the wrench, the rod, the rifle, or the ladder.

Clipped to you. The light detaches from the strap and the steel pocket clip holds it on a pocket, a cap brim, or a shirt collar. The right-angle head still points forward, so you can clip it on once and never touch it again.

Stuck to steel. The magnetic tailcap grabs a truck hood, a toolbox, a breaker box, or a panel. Set it down once and you have an instant work light exactly where you need it.

Bright enough to light a whole work area or the trail ahead of you — up to about 100 meters out, roughly a hundred yards. That is a different category than squinting at a phone screen.

You do not have to run it wide open. Step down to a lower white level for close work and the battery stretches to five or six hours. Double-press for red light when you want to find your gear at four in the morning without killing your night vision or waking anybody up.

Up to 2 hours on high and roughly 5 to 6 hours on low from the included 800 mAh 16340 cell. It charges off any USB-C cable — the same one your phone or laptop uses — and a small light on the body glows red while charging and green when it is full, so you always know exactly where you stand before you head out.

When the cell finally wears out in a few years, you swap the battery, not the light. It takes a standard 16340 you can buy anywhere, and one comes in the box.

The body is machined anodized aluminum alloy, not plastic, and the whole light is IP65 rated for water and dust. Rain, snow, sawdust, a wet boat deck, or a drop onto a concrete floor are not a problem.

It weighs about 2 ounces and measures 2.6 inches long by 0.9 inches around, so it lives in your pocket or glovebox instead of a drawer at home. The LED is rated for 50,000 hours.
