What Exactly Is This?

It is three tools in one aluminum body about the size of your thumb. A 700-lumen headlamp on the included strap. A pocket flashlight when you pop the light off the strap and clip it on. And a magnetic work light when you stick it to anything steel.

The head sits at a 90° right angle, so the beam points where you are looking whether it is on your head, clipped to your cap brim, or stuck to the hood of your truck. Six modes — multiple white levels plus red steady, red strobe, and red SOS — all off one side button.

How Do The Three Ways To Carry It Work?

On your head. The headstrap and plastic head mount hold the light right where you are looking, so both hands stay free for the wrench, the rod, the rifle, or the ladder.

Clipped to you. The light detaches from the strap and the steel pocket clip holds it on a pocket, a cap brim, or a shirt collar. The right-angle head still points forward, so you can clip it on once and never touch it again.

Stuck to steel. The magnetic tailcap grabs a truck hood, a toolbox, a breaker box, or a panel. Set it down once and you have an instant work light exactly where you need it.

How Bright Is 700 Lumens, Really?

Bright enough to light a whole work area or the trail ahead of you — up to about 100 meters out, roughly a hundred yards. That is a different category than squinting at a phone screen.

You do not have to run it wide open. Step down to a lower white level for close work and the battery stretches to five or six hours. Double-press for red light when you want to find your gear at four in the morning without killing your night vision or waking anybody up.

How Long Does The Battery Last?

Up to 2 hours on high and roughly 5 to 6 hours on low from the included 800 mAh 16340 cell. It charges off any USB-C cable — the same one your phone or laptop uses — and a small light on the body glows red while charging and green when it is full, so you always know exactly where you stand before you head out.

When the cell finally wears out in a few years, you swap the battery, not the light. It takes a standard 16340 you can buy anywhere, and one comes in the box.

Will It Survive Real Work?

The body is machined anodized aluminum alloy, not plastic, and the whole light is IP65 rated for water and dust. Rain, snow, sawdust, a wet boat deck, or a drop onto a concrete floor are not a problem.

It weighs about 2 ounces and measures 2.6 inches long by 0.9 inches around, so it lives in your pocket or glovebox instead of a drawer at home. The LED is rated for 50,000 hours.

The headstrap and plastic head mount hold the light right where you are looking. The 90 degree right-angle head points the beam straight ahead instead of down at your shoes, so the light goes where your eyes go.

I was a little disappointed with this product… first time. Every single other product I’ve bought has exceeded my expectations. The brightness is good. The only issue I have is it’s a focus beam. There’s not a broad view. I have to be looking directly where the beam is. I’m a mechanic and I’ve been using headlamps for the past 5 years+. I have to be looking directly where the beam is to be able to see what I wanna see. I don’t have a broad view like other headlamps that I own. Overall construction and size is great but it’s just that focused beam. That’s the issue I have and the magnet is weak.

Used my VIP for 2 of these I have 2 Harley Touring bikes and got one for each to keep in the tour pack/saddle bag They have a paper disk on the battery while in storage so remove that paper disc and top off the charge and you are good to go!!! I feel like these are a must have to keep on your motorcycle

No joke! These are great performing flashlight head beams! Once I took the protective plastic out of the battery cylinder and gave it a good 3 hour charge I put it through its paces. It does lay out a good beam on first click , a level you need for night hiking or general 15ft light . Check! 2nd level in an open field , pushed nicely out and now you can see pretty far all around, check! 3rd level is real bright and it lights up out to over 100ft nicely! check! Stress test Put the light on 3 level and let it die. It took over an hour and 15 minutes to start flashing red while still putting out big light!! That is as good as my higher end head beams so this flashlight beamer passes the test big time!! I like the magnet and that you can take it off the head band and prop it on metal to perform tasks. Buy more!! Great gift to anyone !!!

Before giving up on it, please open the battery compartment and make sure the protective buffer between the battery and the coil/contact point has been removed. It’s included for shipping and needs to be removed for the battery to make proper contact. The headlamp also has six light options, including three red-light modes that can be activated by double-clicking the power button. We hope this gets it working for you, but please reach out to our team if you’re still having trouble.

Many wonderful uses! I do not like things around my head but this is more comfortable than expected. The fact that it can be removed is another bonus. I purchased 2 but feel we need one in each vehicle, in the house, in my husbands farm shop and for when we walk in the early morning hours during the winter. Great gift idea for this Christmas!
